Hebrew date for your ketubah
Enter your wedding date to see its Hebrew date, written out the way it appears on a ketubah, in English and in Hebrew.
How the Hebrew date works
A Hebrew day begins at sunset, not at midnight. So a wedding that starts after sunset falls on the next Hebrew day, while the English date stays the same. A Saturday-evening wedding after sunset, for example, is on Sunday in the Hebrew calendar (motzei Shabbat).
The Hebrew calendar follows the moon, so a Hebrew date falls on a different English date each year. To keep the seasons in place, seven years out of every nineteen have an extra month: Adar I and Adar II.
Not sure about sunset? Look up the sunset time for your city on your wedding day. When you order from us, write "evening" after your date (for example "June 13, 2027 evening") and we take care of the rest.
Every ketubah we make has the Hebrew date calculated for you.
