On Sunday, the 8th of Sivan 5787, corresponding to June 13, 2027, here in Brooklyn, New York, Maya Cohen and Daniel Reyes entered into the covenant of marriage before family and friends. Our love grew from friendship, and friendship remains its root. Today and every day we choose each other: to laugh together, to dream together, and to meet whatever comes side by side. We will be each other’s shelter and strength, with truth on our lips and tenderness in our hearts. We will fill our home with music, an abundant table, an open door and traditions that endure, and we will always hold in our hearts the wonder of the day we found each other. As it is written in the Song of Songs: “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death… Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the rivers drown it.” This covenant is valid and binding.

ביום ראשון בשבוע, ח׳ בסיון תשפ״ז, המתאים ל־13 ביוני 2027, כאן בברוקלין, ניו יורק, באו מאיה כהן ודניאל רייס בברית הנישואין במעמד משפחה וחברים. מתוך ידידות צמחה אהבתנו, והידידות עודנה שורשה. היום ובכל יום נבחר זה את זו מחדש: לצחוק יחד, לחלום יחד, ולפגוש כתף אל כתף את כל אשר יבוא. נהיה זה לזו מחסה ועוז, אמת בפינו ורוך בלבנו. נמלא את ביתנו במוזיקה, בשולחן שופע, בדלת פתוחה ובמסורות שתחיינה לעד, ולעולם נשמור בלבנו את פלא היום שבו מצאנו זה את זו. ככתוב בשיר השירים: "שימני כחותם על לבך, כחותם על זרועך, כי עזה כמות אהבה… מים רבים לא יוכלו לכבות את האהבה, ונהרות לא ישטפוה." ברית זו שרירה וקיימת.
